Right on the water’s edge lies the heart of Anfasteröd Gårdsvik – the restaurant. Wherever possible we use local and organic ingredients in our menu, from smoked mackerel and shellfish from the bay, to chanterelles, lingon berries, and elk from the region’s forests. We are on a constant hunt after the genuine Bohus-essence. We pore over old cookbooks and are inspired by local boutique food and drink producers. Under the same roof, adjacent to the restaurant you’ll find our café where you can creep in when it rains and enjoy a coffee, home-baked cakes and desserts and ice-cream.

The Café

We begin the day by baking our own sourdough bread, which is available for sale and is also included in our buffet breakfast. Our full buffet breakfast is then served between 8am and 10am. We deliver a classic Swedish breakfast and we add crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, and you can even make your own waffles.

From 11am you’re welcome to come and taste our homemade cakes and desserts, enjoy one of our simple lunch options, relax with a coffee made with love from artisan-roasted beans, or cool off with an ice-cream.

We also prepare picnic baskets and packed lunches, perfect for you to take on your adventur

  • Low season (5 May – 21 June) we are open Saturday – Sunday 8am-4p
  • Peak season (22 June – 25 August) we are open every day 8am-4pm



The Restaurant

Meet the evening with front-row seats by the ocean. Our restaurant offers an a la carte menu composed by our discerning chefs with local raw ingredients in focus. We are fully licensed, serving beer and wine from local suppliers, and arrange generous grill nights which are very popular and have a wonderful atmosphere. We cater of course for the little ones, with a children’s menu of simpler meals.

On saturdays between 6th of July until 24th of August we serve a BBQ buffét in the evening.
