Right on the shore is the heart of Gårdsviken – the restaurant Faster Ann’s. We base our menu on traditional Bohuslän dishes and ingredients such as fish, shellfish and game. The restaurant is located right on the water’s edge and has a lovely outdoor terrace towards the sunset. Brunch, coffee, ice cream and lighter food are served during the day and dinner and drinks are served in the evening. Read more about opening hours and menu below.

Opening Hours 2026
Our restaurant, Faster Ann’s, is generally open Thursday to Sunday (5 PM–late) from April until Midsummer. From Midsummer through week 34, we are open daily, after which we are open Thursday to Saturday during September and October.
If you’re wondering about opening hours on a specific day, the easiest way is to check our table booking page (see link above). There you can also see available tables. If you are a group and would like to dine with us outside regular opening hours, you are warmly welcome to send an inquiry.
On Sundays during May and September, we serve brunch, and from time to time we host events such as quizzes and live music performances. Keep an eye on Facebook for more information about our events!
Restaurant Faster Ann’s
In our restaurant Faster Ann’s, we serve classic local dishes made from ingredients such as fish and seafood from the sea, as well as mushrooms and game from the forest. We are always searching for the genuine flavors of Bohuslän, often diving into old cookbooks and drawing inspiration from local food and beverage producers.
The restaurant is located right by the water’s edge and features a lovely outdoor seating area facing the sunset.

Brunch
On Sundays from May 3–31 and September 6–27, 2026, we serve our cozy brunch. We set the table with freshly baked bread, well-aged cheeses, crisp salads, hot dishes, cold dishes, and something for both the health-conscious and the indulgent. If it’s sunny and warm, we open our outdoor seating by the sea; if it’s rainy and chilly, we light a fire in the dining room stove.
We offer an early seating between 10:00–12:00 and a later one from 13:00–15:00.

Berit’s Mountain Bar
Let us introduce Berit’s Mountain Bar! Probably the only mountain bar on the entire west coast—or perhaps in all of Sweden?
Berit’s Mountain Bar is located under the open sky, at the very top of a mountain with a stunning view over Fräknefjorden. Beneath a wind-swept pine tree you’ll find the bar itself, with seating arranged on the surrounding rock ledges.
At present, the bar is only open for private groups (due to Swedish alcohol legislation), but we hope to open it to the public depending on possible changes in the law from June 1, 2026. Time will tell—but until then, you are warmly welcome to book an evening at the bar for your private party.
The Caravan Kiosk
From our caravan kiosk, we serve super-delicious ice cream burgers (chocolate chip cookies with ice cream, sauce, and sprinkles in between) and ice cream croissants with roasted hazelnuts and chocolate sauce. We also offer light lunches, hot dogs, coffee, and homemade baked goods.
Seating is available on the lawn facing the sea or under cover in our outdoor seating area.

- June 12–14 (extra open for school graduations)
- Every day from Midsummer Eve until August 23
Barbecue Evenings and Other Events
On Saturdays during the summer, we fire up the grills and serve a barbecue buffet on the outdoor terrace. We decorate the terrace a little extra and play great music to match the food. What’s on the grill depends on the theme of the week.

When the restaurant is closed…
Our goal is to always be able to offer our checked-in guests something to eat, even when the restaurant is closed. We offer picnic baskets with a hearty lunch to take with you on your trip and barbecue kits with sausages, coffee and wood for a cozy time around the campfire. We also offer dinners to enjoy in the cottage as a seafood platter or dinner that our chef has prepared that you cook yourself in the cottage. During late summer you can book a complete crayfish platter for the cottage or our beach house. There are also many good places to eat in the village that we are happy to recommend, within driving, walking and paddling distance
Questions and answers about food
What is included in the breakfast for the accommodation?
When you book a cottage or glamping with us, breakfast is included (except in winter). Our breakfast is delivered to your accommodation so that you can eat in peace and quiet and without crowds. The breakfast is a classic Swedish one with yogurt, eggs, bread and cold cuts and coffee.
Can you bring a dog to Faster Ann’s?
Yes, dogs are welcome and companies with dogs are primarily placed on the outdoor terrace if the weather permits.
Can you stop by for just something to drink?
Absolutely! In the summer we also have nice seats in deck chairs towards the sunset that are perfect for a drink.
Do you have to book a table?
In the summer we are usually full and therefore it is a good idea to book a table and when we have the least to do, we can sometimes close earlier if we don’t have any reservations. It really makes it easier for us if we know how many people are planning to come.
Do you serve lunch?
We do not serve lunch in the restaurant, but the caravan kiosk serves several simple dishes during lunchtime. The exception is conferences and groups that have pre-booked food.
Will you have a Christmas buffet this year?
After the success of 2025, our plan is to also serve a Christmas buffet in 2026.
